32-Hour Work Week Trial Begins September

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Ferry County will implement a 32-hour work week for employees from September 1 to November 30, 2025, closing several offices on Fridays during the trial period. The Board of Commissioners approved the change at a May 27, 2025 meeting.

County offices affected include the Auditor's Office, Assessor's Office, Building and Planning Department, Public Records, Commissioner's Office, Public Works, WSU Extension, Treasurer's Office, GIS Office, and Clerk of the Board. Clerk of the Board April Drennan oversees the office.

The county also launched a new website to provide updated department information and serve as the official press release center. The website previously relied on volunteers, but the county now has new procedures to maintain department pages consistently.
