Ferry County will trial a 32-hour work week for county employees starting September 1, 2025 and running through November 30, 2025. The Ferry County Board of Commissioners approved the trial at their May 27, 2025 Regular Meeting.
During the three-month trial, nine county offices will be closed every Friday. Those offices are: the Auditor's Office, Assessor's Office, Building and Planning Department, Public Records office, Commissioner's Office, Public Works Office, WSU Extension Office, Treasurer's Office, and GIS Office.
Residents who need services from any of those offices should plan to visit or call Monday through Thursday during the trial period. The announcement was posted by April Drennan, Clerk of the Board.
