Ferry County will run a 32-hour work week trial for county employees from September 1 through November 30, 2025. The Ferry County Board of Commissioners approved the plan at their May 27, 2025 Regular Meeting.

During the trial period, nine county offices will be closed every Friday. Those offices include the Auditor's Office, Assessor's Office, Building and Planning Department, Public Records, Commissioner's Office, Public Works Office, WSU Extension Office, Treasurer's Office, and GIS Office.

Residents who need services from any of these offices should plan to visit or call Monday through Thursday during the trial period. The announcement was released by April Drennan, Clerk of the Board.
