The Ferry Conservation District (FCD) provides voluntary, non-regulatory assistance to Ferry County residents for natural resource projects. The district works with landowners to improve water, soil, air, and farmland through technical help and financial support.
The FCD’s mission is to safeguard Ferry County’s rural lifestyle and sustainable use of natural resources. It offers services including livestock management, habitat restoration, water quality improvement, and wildfire recovery.
The district holds monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday at 3 p.m. (Oct-Mar) or 5 p.m. (Apr-Sep) at 84 East Delaware in Republic. Meetings are open to the public for input and questions. The district also encourages residents to contact them directly for project assistance.
