Earth Day on April 22 brings three separate events. Republic School will hold a school-wide community service cleanup. Curlew Lake State Park will offer a free Discover Pass day along with a ranger-led hike. The Confederated Colville Tribe will host an Earth Day Celebration at the Pow-wow Grounds.
Earlier in the month, Republic residents can take advantage of a free bark pickup at Vaagen Brothers Lumber on Saturday, April 11, and a community cleanup day on Sunday, April 19, organized by Republic Business & Professional Women. Residents can contact Spark at (509) 775-1086 or check Facebook for cleanup details.
