From scrap metal pickup to an Earth Day celebration, Ferry County residents have a full calendar of free community events this April, organized in part by the Ferry Conservation District.
April 6 (week of) — Free Scrap Metal Pickup City of Republic residents can arrange a free scrap metal pickup. Call Republic City Hall at 509-775-3216 to schedule. The service is limited to properties within city limits.
April 11 (Saturday) — Free Bark Pickup Day Vaagen Brothers Lumber will host a free bark pickup day.
April 19 (Sunday) — Republic Clean-Up Day Republic Business & Professional Women are organizing a community cleanup. The location is still to be determined. Residents can contact Spark at 509-775-1086 or check Facebook for updates.
April 22 (Wednesday) — Earth Day Events Republic School will hold a school-wide community service cleanup. Curlew Lake State Park will offer a free Discover Pass day along with a ranger-led hike. The Confederated Colville Tribe will also hold an Earth Day Celebration at the Pow-wow Grounds. The Ferry Conservation District Board will meet that same day at the district office at 84 E. Delaware Ave. in Republic.
April 25 (Saturday) — Spring Conservation Fair The Spring Conservation Fair at the Ferry County Fairgrounds will feature informational booths and resources focused on local conservation and sustainable practices.
