Ferry County residents have several community and conservation events to look forward to this month, including a Spring Conservation Fair, multiple Earth Day activities, and a free bark pickup day.
Saturday, April 11 A free bark pickup day is scheduled at Vaagen Brothers Lumber Inc.
Wednesday, April 22 β Earth Day Republic School will hold a school-wide community service clean-up day. Curlew Lake State Park will offer a free Discover Pass day along with a ranger-led hike. The Confederated Colville Tribes will host an Earth Day celebration at the Pow-wow Grounds. The Ferry Conservation District, based at 84 E. Delaware Ave. in Republic, also has a Special Board of Supervisors Meeting set for 5:00 p.m. The public can attend in person or listen online.
Sunday, April 19 The Republic Business & Professional Women are organizing a Republic Clean-Up Day at a location still to be determined. Residents can contact Spark at (509) 775-1086 or check Facebook for updates.
Saturday, April 25 The Spring Conservation Fair takes place at the Ferry County Fairgrounds. The event will feature informational booths and resources focused on conservation and sustainable practices. It is open to community members.
