Ferry County Environmental Health is launching a new online permitting system on Monday, April 20, 2026. The system will allow residents, property owners, and professionals to submit permit applications, track progress, and access records online β without needing to call the office.
The upgrade covers septic permits, food establishment permits, complaints, and other Environmental Health applications. Users can create an account to manage their activity and view documents. A new septic search feature will let homebuyers, realtors, property owners, and septic pumpers look up permit history and system details for any property in the county.
The county made the switch because its current software vendor is ending support for the existing system. Staff also cited requests from local septic professionals who wanted an online application option.
Residents who tried to submit complaints or applications between April 14 and April 17 experienced a service gap during the transition. Online complaint submissions were unavailable during that window, and new applications were not processed. Staff asked that urgent violations be reported by phone. Any applications submitted during the transition will be processed starting April 20.
