The Ferry County Board of Commissioners is looking for residents from District #3 to fill two vacant seats on the Ferry County Planning Commission. Interested residents must submit a written letter of interest to the Board of County Commissioners at 290 East Tessie Avenue, Republic, WA 99166.
The Planning Commission is an advisory body appointed by the County Commissioners. It reviews land divisions, variances, and zoning amendments. The commission also helps prepare comprehensive plans and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on land use rules.
Applicants should briefly explain why they want to serve and describe any relevant experience. No prior experience is required. Appointments are four-year terms expiring December 31. Commission members are not paid but do receive a travel stipend.
