The Ferry County Board of Commissioners is looking for residents from District #3 to fill two vacant seats on the Ferry County Planning Commission. The commission advises county leaders on land use issues, including reviewing land divisions, variances, and amendment requests.
Applicants must live in District #3. Interested residents should send a letter to the Ferry County Commissioners at 290 East Tessie Avenue, Republic, WA 99166. The letter should briefly explain why you want to serve and describe any relevant experience β though experience is not required.
Appointments are four-year terms expiring December 31. Commission members are not paid but do receive a travel stipend. Letters of interest will be accepted until all positions are filled.
The Planning Commission is appointed by the Board of Commissioners to represent citizen interests across the county. It also has authority to help prepare comprehensive plans and recommend official controls to the Board.
