The Ferry County Board of Commissioners is looking for residents from District #3 to fill two vacancies on the Ferry County Planning Commission. Interested residents must submit a written letter of interest to the Board of Ferry County Commissioners at 290 East Tessie Avenue, Republic, WA 99166.
The Planning Commission is an advisory board appointed by the County Commissioners. It reviews land divisions, variances, and amendment requests. It also helps prepare comprehensive plans and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners on land use controls.
Applicants should briefly explain why they want to serve and describe any relevant background. No prior experience is required. Appointments are four-year terms expiring December 31. Members serve without pay but receive a travel stipend.
