Ferry County will test a 32-hour work week for county employees this fall, with nine offices closing on Fridays during a three-month trial period running from September 1 to November 30, 2025.
The Ferry County Board of Commissioners approved the trial at their May 27, 2025 Regular Meeting. The offices affected by the Friday closures include the Auditor's Office, Assessor's Office, Building and Planning Department, Public Records, Commissioner's Office, Public Works Office, WSU Extension Office, Treasurer's Office, and GIS Office.
